Christian acme

Possibly the highest state the Christian can reach is total contentment in God alone. This requires no reliance on any other thing.

At the very root of this philosophy is an awkward phrase.

"It is easier to love than to be loved."

This might well sound counter-intuitive. But it is not.

Humans suffer from a commonly held belief that they are unlovable. We carry around within us grounds for rejection. We see so many reasons why others would not love us. Some of these reasons are true; others of them are misplaced.

Am I alone, on my own, without anything more, lovable?

The answer to that is that you will only find out when you have God alone, on your own, without anything else.

For it is in that place that you will find the unimaginable love of God.
