"Resentment kills a fool and envy slays the simple." - Job 5:2
Sexual immorality gets a bad wrap in the church. However, the really wicked are those wracked with resentment and those hypnotised by envy. These sins are rife in Christian communities. In fact, they are epidemic. By nature they foment hypocrisy and Pharisaism. Because the essence of comparative sin is to displace the focus from self to others they become nigh impossible to self-detect and situate themselves above reproach. Envy is a silent murderer in the church. Resentment is the murder weapon. Death in the Cathedral!
