Imagination

"All my enemies whisper together against me; they imagine the worst for me" - Psalm 41:7

There are two forces at work upon you right now. They are both in your head (is there any other battle-ground?).

One is good. The other is bad. The one wants you to imagine the worst. The other wants you to imagine the best.

The voice that tells you to imagine the worst is simply called Fear.

The voice that tells you to imagine the best is simply called Love.

It is said that perfect Love casts out Fear. Love is therefore also known as the Great Displacer.

The mind cannot entertain two diametrically opposite imaginations. It will either be full of the imaginings of Love; or it will be full of the imaginings of Fear.

The Love of Christ is reputed to be have dimensions so vast that you cannot comprehend them. You need to use your imagination to come close to understanding it. It is wide, and long, and high and deep. It is "immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine".

Love imagines the best. Fear imagines the worst.

Your enemies whisper in your head, imagining the worst for you. Your Lover whispers in your head, imagining the best for you.

Your imagination is your tool. It all depends on who you listen to.

Choose to take the Love of Christ on trust. Choose to liberate yourself by associating your mind with the vastly positive thoughts He has for you and towards you. Choose to imagine the very best.
