Over the course of my life, and over the course of my study of the Scriptures, I have often returned to the synonymity of faith and obedience.
In other words, some times our act of faith is simply to obey.
Put differently, true obedience is only possible in the presence of faith. Functional obedience, without the attitude of faith, ceases to be obedience. Real obedience has at its core the obedience to God's Kingship. You can do an act that is outwardly obedient but is inwardly disobedient to the Truth that God is Lord.
