February 2010 Gracefields School

God provided Gracefields. In the absence of reliable information and not knowing north from south or Pasir Ris from Pasir Panjang we stepped off the plane, and blindfold pinned the tail on the school donkey. Fortunately, we did not know the proper magnitude of the decision at the time. Everything was happening so quickly around us that it was a blind poke in the dark. We stabbed the tail at the donkey; God moved the donkey.

God placed our girls in the most wonderful Chinese kindergarten. The headmistress is a Christian. The school is charming. It is in an old stately house in a city dominated by high rise apartment blocks. The school is perfect. Utterly perfect.

Anna and Ella begin their school lives in a school full of local Singaporeans. Some days they are instructed in Chinese only. They love it there and are loved there. We give thanks for a wonderful school.
