John 15
The ultimate passage in the Bible about abiding in Jesus. If we abide in Jesus He will produce fruit through us. Urban Design Church stands and falls by the quality of her individuals' personal walk with the King. We abhor individualistic Christianity; but we exhort the individual pursuit of God. We seek God individually together. Together we will personally seek Him.
When the souls of a church seek the Lord with passion and abide in Him, the Lord lifts the trip switch on the house's Distribution Board. Lights come on. Power flows.
If you want to serve Urban Design Church do this: Meet with Him every day and let Him change you. Then do whatever He says.
We do not want you to set out chairs. We do not want you to look after children. We do not want you to play in a worship band.
We want your soul to touch the soul of the Lord as close to daily as you can. We want you to earth the electricty of His revelation and power. We refer you to Him, the Ancient of Days. If you do not fall at the foot of His throne each day in utter surrender, you are of no use to His church. He demands your soul. And He makes no bones about that. Nor do we. If you do not see your life's priority as the yielded obedience to the Master of the Universe then you are an encumbrance to His church. Urban Design Church will rise as high as her saints are bowed.
