28 November 2009 Do not get on that plane

My family dropped me at the Durban International airport. Jess and Anna and Ella were waiting another three weeks for Jess' brother's wedding. I was alone at the airport.

I checked my bags in and they were loaded on to the plane. My ticket was submitted, my boarding pass was being completed. But wait! The supervisor. O go away. The supervisor is now talking into her communication device. My ticket is cancelled. My bags are unloaded and given back to me.

Two hours to close of boarding. The travel agent cum Dubai Airways cum the universe have conspired in various degrees to make sure I do not get on that flight. But there is hope. There are a couple of rescue plans I can still hatch. But one by one each possible escape key I can press gets taken away. I should be on this flight by all rights. I have done nothing wrong. Everyone else is at fault (for once in my life).

I take a deep breath. God is in control. He is the sovereign of the universe. It becomes apparent that there is no possible way I can get on my flight. I am barred. I was destined to never set foot on that flight.
