Who holds the future

"Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards." ― Søren Kierkegaard
Your future is unique to you. It is unprecedented. Therefore it is unknown. Tomorrow is forever outside of your control.
God understands the future. He understands the future as if it were past tense. His prospection is as His retrospection.
It is when we trust His sovereign ability to know the start as if it were the finish that we truly begin to live.
In Him, our understanding is entirely forward-looking because the what-is-to-come is His lackey, His foot-solider, His errand-boy.
He owns the end. He knows it entirely. He has set the long-stop on Time. He has marked out the finish. He knew the end before the beginning, and has a monopoly over the post-end. In Him only can we live forward.
