Though 10,000 will fall at your side, the disaster will not come near you. These are the words of Psalm 91. Church planting is one of the most difficult things to do because you are exposing yourself to serial rejection. However, armed with a promise like Psalm 91, even if 10,000 give up on the mission God has given you to do, disaster will not assail you. It is only on the corner of Christ can the building be built. On the Rock of Christ it matters not how many people abandon the church plant. 10,000 may fall, but the Rock falls not. Ironically, those standing on the Rock have the best chance of securing those around them, preventing them from falling.
