"So that you can answer those who take pride in what is seen, rather than in what is in the heart." - 2 Co 5:12.
The church I want to be a part of is one where the heart, and its posture before God, is emphasised. The action is in the heart. The heart is the seat of our relationship with God.
The construction of appearances, what is seen, can be used to distract from the condition of the heart. But God knows the heart, and He consults it first.
The heart is the measure of spirituality. Men know it. That is why we spend so much time fabricating appearances to disguise what is resident in our own hearts.
The heart is where inescapable conclusions about one's true walk with God reside.
