Safety in the danger

Following God will lead to extreme danger. Not necessarily physical or financial danger, although that might be so.

Following God leads to dangerous encounters with your own pride and sense of entitlement. God is brutal on our lust for control and our misplaced trust in foreign gods.

Follow Him and expect some ill-founded faith in false idols to be shot down. He will shake you. And then He will lead you through the Refiner's fire.

Yet if you trust Him and hope in Him, you will locate safety. In the middle of danger there is always a capsule of safety.

You have to remain dead still. You cannot waver. You have to believe the truth that the revealed God of the Bible is trustworthy.

God loves putting the revelation of Himself to the test.

Trust Him and you will feel safe. Stop trusting Him and your lack of trust will be in extreme peril.
