Number one: Keep preaching the message that Jesus saves sinners, and that He is the Lord to follow. Number two: Expound the Scripture - speak its depth and height and breadth.
There is so much pressure out there on church leaders to come up with something novel and dynamic. While relevancy is a handmaiden to the gospel, it is not the gospel. The gospel is historical. And, rather unfortunately to some, is decidedly not modern. We are to be pitied that we live in an age where the simple preaching of the gospel is often derided as not modern enough. Let me stick to my course of speaking about knowing God because of the work of Jesus.
