Either you believe it, or you don't

Either Jesus saves you without any good works contribution on your part, or He does not.

If you import even the smallest quantum of good works into the equation you shall plunge into eternal despair or into self-righteousness. And you would be hard pressed to determine the lesser evil of those two alternatives.

As for me, I choose to place everything on the fact that Jesus saves me without requiring any good works contribution on my part.

The gospel is, by nature, all or nothing.
