Local Singaporeans

Urban Design Church is destined to be like the church at Antioch. The leaders in that church were multi-cultural. God twisted strands of race into a strong rope.

The heart of Urban Design Church beats for local Singaporeans. It is established for them. It cries out for them. It gestures to them.

Strong Singaporean men are of first importance. Upon them a church can be founded. The strong Singaporean men are the piling. The Holy Spirit is the pile-driver, longing to embed them deep into the soil of Urban Design Church.

Not anyone will do. The requirements are exacting. The threshold demanding. The bar is set high. Only the most passionate will survive the initial elimination. God is calling Singaporean men to His service. He is not deceived by false sincerity. He is not fooled by showmanship. He elects only those who authentically take Him seriously.

He is not duped by the unauthentic. Nor am I. For this church to succeed strong Singaporean men who view God as a Master to be served and obeyed must become the bedrock. Upon which all else will be established. Nothing less will do.

I am prepared to wait 100 years. I shall not be deterred from my conviction that a church is built upon a strata of males who will obey Jesus no matter the cost. Quite simply, I am not prepared to brook anything else. We are going to do Urban Design Church Jesus' way. Jesus' way is total and complete followership and obedience to Jesus. He rules absolutely and His followers should follow absolutely.

Either this gospel of His Lordship is true, or we have the luxury of half-hearted, feeble, part followership that makes Jesus look like nothing more than a short-lived fashionable idea.

It takes guts to be a Jesus follower. It is a rugged task. He is quite prepared to be honest about the fact that you do not take Him seriously, assuming of course, that you are not prepared to give up everything for His glorious cause.
