The blood of sacrifice

Rich runs the blood of saints who sacrifice. Where sacrifice for God hurts and cuts deep, so much richer runs the blood.

It is the blood of the saints' sacrifice that fertilizes the ground of the church. Some sow in tears and later reap with joy. Others sow with blood which later yields a harvest of power.

The blood of the saints is thick and heavy. When it is let in sacrifice it sinks into the earth. Deep into the earth. With it the pillars of the Kingdom are entrenched. It paves the way for the foundation rocks of the church to be established.

Where there is pain in sacrifice the later generations harvest a handsome return of power. At some point some sacrifice is necessary. There may be pain in the offering, but there is a disproportionate reward. No sacrifice is ever without profound impact.

May our sacrifices of obedience be ever pleasing in your sight, o Lord, our Rock and our Redeemer.
