Hard pressed, but not crushed

Circumstantial compression can bear in on the believer, tempting him to either implode or explode. The Christian answer is to simply stand firm, believing in a God who does not tolerate His sons to endure that which they cannot bear.

With God, generally the darkest hour is before the dawn.

Happy is the man who waits patiently through the watches of the night without implosion or explosion, and then enjoys the fruits of a brand new dawn. He will realise in the morning that it was thoroughly worth the wait.
