Briefly, when it comes to the preaching of the Word God's power can be in the shape of signs and wonders, like healings or miraculous events.
It must not be forgotten that the gospel can come, according to 1 Thes 1, with 'great assurance' (deep conviction).
In short, I would say that God's power is really any occasion that God exercises His authority.
